Letters and Quotes in Suppport of James Hosking
for Superior Court Judge

James Hosking is more than qualified to become a Superior Court Judge. - Michael Ramos, District Attorney of San Bernardino County

Dear Fellow Patriots and Freedom Fighters

This is not motorcycle related but extremely important, so please pass on to everyone you can.

Every once in a while, we can an opportunity to correct a wrong. Such an opportunity has presented itself.

In January of this year, a young lady went to court to garner a permanent restraining order against her boyfriend and father of their 9 month old child. She already had a temporary order but those are only good for a week. This man threatened her and her child with violence. He told her that if she did not return to him, he would kill the child, commit suicide or kill the child and commit suicide.

Unfortunately, she had the misfortune to go in front of Family Law Superior Court Judge Lemkau. This judge did not only believe her story, did not believe copies of the emails that her estranged boyfriend sent her, nor did he believe the copies of the text messages he sent her. The judge called her a liar and threatened her with “adverse consequences” if she brought up those issues again. The judge granted the boyfriend custody and ten days later, the boyfriend, after leading the police on a high speed chase, killed the baby and himself. The judge’s response was “no response."

Fortunately, this judge’s term is up, and we have a chance to do something about it. James Hosking, finding out that Judge Lemkau was running unopposed, took his own money and entered the race. WE CAN AND MUST HELP HIM unseat this “Judge” who is clearly unfit for the bench.

We must spread the message and support James Hosking in his endeavor. Pass this e mail to all in San Bernardino County to get out and vote this June 8. We can never undo what Judge Lemkau did, but we sure can make sure he can never do something this egregious again.

I have spent quite a bit of time with James, discussing not only this case, but application of the law in general, and find him to be a very honest and ethical man. I fully support him and call on all of you do the same.

Please visit James Hosking website www.electhosking.org, to get all the facts and even read the transcript of the case.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

I am pleased with your approach to this election. I am most concerned that the other judge did not read transcript but simply shot from the hip. I'm impressed that you are concerned for the necessity of standard OP, of doing one's homework, i.e. due diligence. I will advocate voting for you to everyone I talk to and that is a considerable circle. Thank you for being involved.

James Hosking is an excellent candidate for judge. James is hard-working, very knowledgeable on the law and will apply the law in a common-sense fashion. As a former Deputy District Attorney and Supervising Deputy District Attorney for 35 years I have no hesitation in giving James my unqualified support. – Supervising Deputy District Attorney Ken Smith (Ret.)

The San Bernardino County Safety Employees' Benefit Association's longstanding philosophy of supporting strong public safety candidates is well served through it's endorsement of James Hosking for Superior Court Judge.
- William Abernathie, President
  Safety Employees' Benefit Association

He has the integrity and judgment to get the job done. - Deputy District Attorney Melinda Spencer

James Hosking is the most giving professional I have met in my career as a Law Enforcement Officer. His knowledge, passion and skill are unmatched and he is respected by his peers, colleagues’ and all who have worked with him as a reliable, conscientious and fair human being. I urge anyone and everyone to vote for James Hosking for Judge; he can and will make a difference.
- Officer Kevin Savage

I have known James Hosking for nearly a decade. We were mere colleagues in the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office. Then we became friends. We have both advanced in our careers as criminal prosecutors, often-times working in the same assignment. I now principally handle homicide cases. During this time, I have learned much about James Hosking as a person and as a prosecutor.

James Hosking is asking for the public’s support in running for superior court judge. What he has chosen to do is not an easy task. Challenging an incumbent is a bold decision and a difficult task, yet it is sometimes necessary. James Hosking is running for judge because somebody has to. Recent events have made it necessary. The cause of justice and the safety of the public are at stake.

James Hosking is an experienced criminal prosecutor. He takes that job seriously and does it well. My opinion is based on nothing less than day-to-day observation over the years I have known him. He practices law with integrity, honesty and deference to the public he serves. James Hosking is dedicated to the law. Recently, he returned to law school to obtain an advanced degree in criminal law. James Hosking is both bright and dedicated. And perhaps just as important, he is respectful towards the people he serves and exercises good old common-sense.

What more can we ask for in a judge? Intelligence, dedication, respectful treatment of the public, and common-sense decision-making. It is up to the public to permanently weave these principles into the fabric of our government institutions. We will have done just that if we elect James Hosking a Superior Court Judge.

William Lee, Deputy District Attorney, Homicide Prosecutor

Dear Mr. Hosking,

Mahalo (thank you) on behalf of the domestic violence survivors in Hawaii for the bold stand you are taking in your fight against Lemkau and injustice. It is heartening to know that someone who sees what's really going on is willing to step up to the plate and do something about it.

I am a former Marriage & Family Therapist (having worked with family courts for 20+ years) turned Domestic Violence Survivor Advocate (activist) and know what you're up against having to face the establishment saying "Na ah, no more". When I first stood in the position that you are, I was told that "When you're on the frontlines, you're going to take a lot of bullets" and I was like "Oh, so THAT'S what I'm feeling!" but you know what? The bullets are blanks because you stand on the side of truth, righteousness and justice so don't EVER forget that no matter how bad the sting and always remain humble enough to remember that's ALWAYS where you need to be coming from.

If you're not successful in your challenge of Lemkau then NO WORRIES: you've taken a stand and an army of victim-survivors and their allies have heard your commitment - you'll have a place reserved for you among us if you're not successful in taking Lemkau down (and then you'll be successful that way so either way, it's gonna be a win-win for you!)

Thank you once again for giving us some hope that this'll be turned around so that when a woman flees for her life, she doesn't have to pay for it with her child's. God bless you and keep you in all that you do and keep on keepin' on!

With love and aloha,
Dara Carlin, M.A.
Domestic Violence Survivor Advocate

I've worked with J for 5 years now and known him to be extremely competent and very serious when it comes to the administration and pursuit of justice for victims of crime. He's not one to back down from a challenge and represents the kind of no nonsense, rational intellect that is well suited for the bench.

- Deputy District Attorney David Tulcan

Ten days later, in the early-morning hours of Jan. 31, Stephen Garcia allegedly shot his son before turning his pistol on himself on a road in the snowy mountains of Twin Peaks.

Transcripts are here. Please read them, then support James Hosking and remove Judge Lemkau from the bench! - Hooterville-Hollar.blogspot.com

James Hosking is a tough prosecutor. He has always been professional and knowledgeable, but completely fair to all parties involved.

- Michael J. Holmes, Attorney at Law

James,

My daughter H****** A****** was in traffic court and he had her removed from the court physically by the bailiff. She was 30 weeks pregnant and was refused to leave court to use the bathroom or put her feet up per her doctor’s orders. This was all before the tragedy of Wyatt’s murder. This person should not be allowed to be a judge of any kind!

Please feel free to contact H**** for details.

You have my vote.

Three judges failed to protect young Wyatt, and repeatedly called mother Katie Tagle a liar. All of these judges need to be punished for their lazy, biased actions that led to the murder of the young child.

There is a candidate running for the judicial race for Judge Robert Lemkau’s seat that sounds very promising. This is from an associate who actually spoke with him about the situation there. - RightsForMothers.com

James,

Very glad to see you running for judge. I wish I could say these types of situations are unusual, but when I look at the statistics nationwide, not so.

Keep up your good work!

We have a chance to elect an honorable, hard working and intelligent man for San Bernadino Superior Court Judge in this coming election. James Hosking, who has proven himself as a Deputy District Attorney, will serve the public fairly and well. It's past time to have a Judge who respects those whom he serves. Hosking will use his background and experience to make the Inland Empire a safer place for all citizens, so let's not miss this chance to make a positive change!
